What a week!

Not sure what's going on with the planets this week (not that I believe all that, of course, but if I did, apparently Mercury's in retrograde - again!!), anyway, whatever the cause, it's been crazy. On Tuesday morning the piece I'd written for The Times about the transition from every other weekend stepmother to a full-time one came out in T2 and got an amazing response. If you missed it, here's the link.
Also on Tuesday was the mumsnet webchat I've been looking forward to. Mumsnet's a great site with lots of brilliant forums about all things related to being a mum, and their step-parenting forum is one of the few with a Brit focus. I can't say all the regular mumsnetters were glad to see me, but you can't please all of the people... Anyway, I'm not an expert, just a stepmum with an experience to share and a point of view, so it was good to meet other stepmums in a similar situation and hear about their experiences.
And on Wednesday, the October issue of Red came out, featuring the stepmothers' support group I told you about a couple of weeks ago. I'll put the link up shortly in case you haven't seen it. So watch this space.
