Answers
Describe a typical writing day.
I write at weekends and on holidays. So most Saturdays and Sundays I get up and go straight to Caffe Nero (thanks Karen!). I and my partner Jon, who's a novelist too, set up camp at a corner table and write 'til either 2pm or 2000 words, whichever comes first. I can't stay at home – I'm too easily distracted. When I wrote full-time for a few months, I had the emptiest washing basket in the country.
